Members Annual Exhibiton
Spring Exhibition 2024

Our Annual Exhibition is an ideal opportunity to view the beautiful and creative work that our talented members produce and many will be available to purchase during the exhibition.
The Exhibition will be held at The Twyn Community Centre , Caerphilly, week commencing Tuesday May 28th to Saturday 1st June 2024 Opens at 10:30pm to 3pm
Information for Members:
Only fully paid members may exhibit paintings with an entry fee of £2 per painting, maximum of 5 entries. The maximum size for framed work is 56 x 41 cm ( 22 x 16") . Please ensure all work is suitably framed with D hooks and string fitted ready for hanging. There is no size limit on canvas work, which will be hung from the chains on the walls rather than the boards. Please ensure these are fitted with open hooks near the top of the canvas on both sides to facilitate hanging.
Any work not provided with suitable method for hanging will not be exhibited . Original artworks only please no prints.
A 10% commission on any sales will be charged and all sales to go through the society accounts. Labels will be provided but please also mark the reverse of your work with your Name, Title of Work, Medium and price if for sale. Paintings for inclusion in the exhibition will need to be dropped of at the Twyn community Centre on Tuesday 28th May, 10.00 am
We will be bringing back our popular painting competition for this exhibition the theme has been selected and will also be judged by Andrew Coslett on Tuesday 28th 7:30pm, all members and guests are welcome for a private viewing of the exhibition.
Subject for the competition as set by Andrew:
'Create your own version of an art work produced by your favorite artist'
Study your artists painting, looking at the colour palette, technique, brush strokes, composition and create your own version.
One entry to the competition per member, the same size restrictions apply to the competition entry and it will also count towards the maximum of 5 paintings entered.
Members are reminded that if they wish to hang paintings they must commit to Rota Duty that will be arranged by our exhibition secretary Danny Thomas. Any questions can be answered at our next and forthcoming meetings.
