Colin Davies Demonstration
28/01/2025
We look forward to welcoming a new demonstrator to the society this evening. Colin Davies is a contemporary fine artist living in Wales. Following a career in education he traded life as a headteacher for that of a professional painter in 2019.
Using mainly oil and acrylic paints, Colin's rich and expressive style is created with the generous application of paint using a swift, tumultuous sweep of a palette knife, often followed with more detailed brushwork application.
Inspired by the beautiful coastline and mountains of Wales, much of his work depicts the power and vitality of the ocean. His atmospheric representation of the drama and rugged beauty of the Gower coastline, in particular, is regularly exhibited and increasingly collected across the UK and internationally.
We very much look forward to his visit.
